[erlang-questions] node crashes without any indication

hi all,
One of my nodes has crashed (twice several hours apart), and I don't know why. I don't see any reason for it to crash and crash.log file is empty. (I'm using lager)
I'm trying to look at observer on the node, but it appears that memory and utilization is steady.
Does any one have more tools to look at crashing nodes?
