The *paper* version has "strings" in the index, with
  - as binaries
  - a lists
  - to a number
as subtopics.

There's a great Open Source information retrieval engine
that can be used to power documentation searches.
It's called ATIRE, it has virtues too numerous to list here,

(The documentation could be better.  You get what you pay for.)
