[erlang-questions] Is ejabberd/MongooseIM not a good choise for mobile IM?

I think they are good tools, however xmpp is pretty heavy. You could
implement a chat on top of vernemq (https://github.com/erlio/vernemq) - an
Erlang MQTT message broker - or Cowboy with the websocket module or REST
handler + SSE for pushing events. I have been using Cowboy with websockets
or REST/HTTP +SSE with great success.
