erlang (rabbitmq) generating core on Solaris SPARC

GCC 4.9.2 is rather elderly.  According to gcc.gnu.org,
"Newer Solaris versions provide one or more of GCC 5, 7, and 9."
where "Newer" means 11.4 and later.

GCC 10.1 was released this month.  If I were you I'd upgrade to
GCC 9.3 if possible.
