[erlang-questions] ei_rpc cast

I have a cnode sending messages to an erlang mode. Is there a way to perform ei_rpc cast? Can I perform ei_rpc_to and ignore/avoid the ei_rpc_from? perhaps putting zero in the timeout? Can it be done consistently without problems?
