[erlang-questions] Problems with .app files

This is a true story.

Once upon a time in a far off land a programmer a put an Erlang .app file
inside a .tar file and mailed it to another programmer.

On arrival the .app file was missing and the mail contained the following
*helpful* notice

FILE QUARANTINED

Microsoft Forefront Protection for Exchange Server removed a file since it
was found to match a filter.
File name: "lttng_nif.tar->lttng/ebin/lttng.app"
Filter name: "FILE FILTER= Filter_Delete: *.app"

The programmer who received the file, said "what the *****ing **** who the
**** has ****
***' $$$*** ***$$$!!$$$ **** !!!!"

and they all lived happily ever after
