[erlang-questions] gen_server doesn't respond

I'm an Erlang newbie so can't really help from that angle but you could
use strace on the Erlang(beam) processes not forgetting threads to see
what they're up to. With a bit of work you could dump all but the last X
of strace output and then spot what changes when things go wrong.

Could you be exercising bug in the network stack or getting it er
constipated for want of a better term ? You could try another OS I suggest
NOT another Linux.
