You can get snow too - it's just located in its proper place - towards
the top of the mountain, not at sea level.

Sicily is also cheaper than Sweden.  I've flown into Catania before,
but don't really remember how well connected it is with the rest of
Europe... ?

In any case, I can heartily recommend Sicily as a beautiful place,
with a lot of things to do.
