I second this. In this day and age, it is still quite difficult to get a
24x7 LAN.  We have a ~5GB database using mnesia and everytime someone
decides to do "maintenance" on the n/w, without telling anyone else, the Ops
team have to spend a couple of hours re-routing query traffic, resyncing
mnesia, filing reports...Though this doesn't affect queries, it is still a
drain on Ops resource.
