choice of gcc version for Erlang on ARM/XScale/PXA

3.4.2 with these patches:
http://svn.gumstix.com/gumstix-buildroot/trunk/sources/gcc/3.4.2/

It successfully compiles the ARM linux kernel, modules, libraries
and command-line utilities as well.
