About the Handler in gen_event

Hi,

can I have only one hadler for all the events of a 
callback module, is this handler is going to take care
of all the handle_events?

Because an event is notified to the Event manager, 
not to the handler  directly, How does this handler
gets involved?

gen_event:notify(EMgr, E) --> M:handle_event(E, S)
