RedHat 8.0 install

Hi,

I have decided to try to give Linux a shot :-) mainly to be able to run 
EDTK, and I am a little stuck... I've been searching the archives but this 
error message I didn't find (and it seems I started to talk like Yoda! :-)

I run "./configure --enable-threads" and then "env LANG=C make"

When linking the emulator, this message appears:

/home/vlad/erlang/otp_src_R9B-0/erts/obj.instr.beam/i686-pc-linux-gnu/sys.o: 
In function `sys_preloaded':
/home/vlad/erlang/otp_src_R9B-0/erts/emulator/sys/unix/sys.c:3236: undefined 
reference to `pre_loaded'
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status

Can anybody help? I run the system with the latest patches, otherwise out of 
the box:

gcc version 3.2 20020903 (Red Hat Linux 8.0 3.2-7)
$ uname -a
Linux vladspc.telia.com 2.4.18-14 #1 Wed Sep 4 13:35:50 EDT 2002 i686 i686 
i386 GNU/Linux
