Building R8B-1 on Windows

Hi again,

I finally :-) noticed that the release note says that "there is no support 
for building the release from source on Windows".

May I at least ask: No support as in "you're on your own", or as in "only we 
can do it"?

And I would also like to know what compiler and version was used in the 
build.
