I've implemented [1] a native ZMTP protocol in Erlang. It currently
supports 13/ZMTP and 15/ZMTP and I've been thinking of implementing 20/ZMTP
sometime soon.

It was implemented (only) for laughs and to prove to some people at work
how easy it would be to do it in Erlang.
