What kind of "tuning" do you have in mind? If you want tidy HTML, why not
use the tidy tool itself? See https://github.com/w3c/tidy-html5 or the
original at http://tidy.sourceforge.net .

Note also that Yaws has exhtml, for similar support for XHTML.
