The Raspberry-Pi went on sale for $35. They sold the first batch of
10,000 very, very quickly:
IMHO, a $35 Erlang machine with Ethernet, and no moving parts (boots
from SD) is very interesting.
It has some digital I/O available, and low-level interfaces like SPI
and I2C, so it should talk to accelerometers, and gyro's, making it
good fun for robots, or maybe home automation.
