[erlang-questions] Choke Point

Thank you for your responses,

looking specifically at scaling hardware: is there an implicit, or, 
practical limit that is experienced, of useful numbers of cores as it 
stands now? Or is the promise of scale across ever more numbers of 
cores, almost transparently, being realized in real world scenarios? And 
does it look like 128, 256 will make perfect sense and all be put to 
good use?

Same for main memory, are there practical considerations to observe, say 
beyond 128G, or is the scale going as smooth as once hoped for?
