Supervision tree and notification of child exit

Thank you Rick! This is exactly what I'm looking for. And I agree  
with you that the supervisor could well have some sort of a hook for  
this since it's already catching child crashes.

This list is a treasure-trove of information. Every time I go back to  
the archives I make it a point to scan that month's worth of postings.
