what versions of windows does erlang run on?

Why should Cygwin help me here? Do you suggest using Cygwin to compile
my own Windows version of Erlang instead of the official open
source of Erlang?

I'll put my stuff online soon (not today and tomorrow, no time),
and will ask for critique of that Erlang code here.
