Hi,

There's a whole lot of interesting things in your brain, Joe! :-) Now I understand why you said you don't have time to wash the dishes ;-)

I'd like to make some quick and small comments:

- Instant messaging & NoXML & pure Erlang communication: maybe it won't be a bad idea to have an interface towards the other IM systems, too - let's leave the door open for the world. Also, I don't think you mean to throw away the existing protocols (that work), just to make them use another encoding?

- send mail to things: isn't this basically the same idea as behind Jini or WebServices, for example? Just a matter of protocol and of scale :-)  I think it can be done and should be done, and Erlang is the best tool!

- store/find/publish: part of this overlaps with "regular" peer-to-peer networking issues. There are many ideas floating around that can be used here, but also many question marks that expect a good answer.
