[erlang-questions] Strings - deprecated functions

I have had several colleagues apply analogous logic in regards to
concurrency and the actor model as you've applied to using Latin-1.  That
is colleagues tell me that they will never need concurrency and their apps
will never be run on multiple machines so why pay the "mental tax" of using
Erlang?

I'm not saying you're wrong but maybe you want to keep your options open.
