In general, for the development of non-Windows-specific applications
(web, network etc. applications), Windows is the worst environment and
Linux is the best one. So it is your problem if you use the worst one.
Personally I don't see any value of Windows development environment
other than Visual Studio. If I don't use Visual Studio, then I don't
use Windows.
