I would second the ODBC suggestion. On Windows, that's pretty much a
no-brainer. Linux is slightly more work on the setup front.

Most Oracle ODBC libs I've come across do not support scrollable
cursors, so ensure you start your connection by supplying the
{scrollable_cursors, off} option to odbc:connect/2.
