Mac OSX and kqueue

kqueue was certainly broken in OSX 10.3 and produced some quite  
spectacular kernel panics. Apple had a bug open in radar about this  
and they claimed they were going to fix it in 10.4, however 10.4.0  
still shipped with a broken implementation.

I'd love to hear if anyone has had any experience getting it to work  
in 10.4.1 and 10.4.2. I've heard rumours that it's been fixed, but  
I've personally given up hope.
