That old mechanical concept is dead.

More interesting is the fact that the vacuum thanks to 
Heisenberg is not empty, for short times dt such a large 
energy fluctuation dE is possible that is enough to create 
particle antiparticle pairs.

The world seems to be very strange at the bottom.
