Er, yes.  A textbook.  Myself, I don't see the new is_* guards as a
significant improvement on the old ones, and in the admittedly modest
amount of Erlang code I write, I stick with what's described in the
Erlang book.

Perhaps it is time for a new edition of the Erlang book.
