Function or Macro...

Hello,

I was asking me if there are advantages in using a macro (when possible
and
when it is not disorienting for the reader) instead of a function.

Is there behind erlang a mechanism of parameter allocation on the
stack when a function is called (like in C)?
Or may be the matter is much more complex...
