esdl help!

Hi,

I am trying to get started with esdl, but get a strange behaviour: trying
anything from a regular Erlang shell works fine, but when trying from the
shell I get in Emacs, then the whole thing locks when running
"sdl_video:setVideoMode(640, 480, 16, Flags)"... Sometimes it works, but not
often enough to be able to see any pattern.

Any ideas as for why this happens? Thanks in advance.
