Hello,

I am new to Erlang and new to this list. Please excuse any silliness on <span style="font-family: Menlo,Monaco,Consolas,"Courier New",monospace;">my part.

Out of curiosity I recently read Joe's "A History of Erlang" (2007) and found the following 'brief' list at the end of the paper:

- We should have atom GC
- We should have better ways interfacing foreign code
- We should improve the isolation between processes
- Safe Erlang
- We need notations to specify protocols and systems
- Code should be first class

What is the current state of these issues? Which of these are being worked on (core or libs), and which are planned for better days?

Cheers,
Tobias
