The erlang plugin works well, but I find Maven's "convention over configuration" painful to say the least. You want to do something slightly out of the ordinary (as is often the case with a multi language project) and your life is spent in XML hell as you are trying to work around roadblocks. A good example was getting it to spew out thrift code for both languages.<br><br>On top of that I'm personally not a fan of separating source control and package management.
