Hello there, Erlang Mailing List.<br>
<br>
I'm writing you to announce and/or remind you that we're bringing
back Spawnfest (<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext"
href="http://spawnfest.com">http://spawnfest.com</a>) again this
year. Spawnfest is a 48 hours programming contest for Erlang, much
like Rails Rumble or Node Knockout. <br>
<br>
It is scheduled for July 7-8, and the rules are available on the
contest's website. <br>
<br>
We're excited to bring the contest back, as we feel it's a great
opportunity to show the world what Erlang/OTP and its users are
capable of. The contest is in no way limited to web applications or
any specific domain; we embrace the diversity of entries, as shows
last year's winners (<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext"
href="http://2011.spawnfest.com/winners/">http://2011.spawnfest.com/winners/</a>).<br>
<br>
If you participate (and you should!), you'll have your applications
judged by our high profile judges: Eric B. Merrit ( founding member
of the Erlware, co-author of “Erlang and OTP in Action”), Joe
Armstrong ( co-inventor of Erlang, no introduction required), Loïc
Hoguin (Founder of Nine Nines, writer of Cowboy), and Scott Lystig
Fritchie (long-time Erlang user, senior software engineer at Basho,
worked on D-Trace for Erlang, and so on).<br>
<br>
You can register your team at <a class="moz-txt-link-freetext"
href="http://spawnfest.com/">http://spawnfest.com/</a><br>
<br>
Feel free to post any question on the mailing list, we will be happy<br>
to address those.<br>
<br>
If you're interested in becoming a sponsor, please email me directly
at this address; it could be a tremendous opportunity to expose your
business.<br>
<br>
While on the topic, I'd like to thank our current sponsors for the
contest, many of them who were there last year too: <br>
