Unfortunately this also broke earlier versions. I can’t build 22.3 or 21.3.8.14 on macOS 10.15.4.

Cheers,
Adam

Under those versions, I've found that the git tag OTP-23.0-rc2 fails to build due to the use of the -Wl,-no_weak_imports linker flag. This flag is introduced in erts/configure.in <http://configure.in/>: https://github.com/erlang/otp/blob/master/erts/configure.in#L943-L957 <https://github.com/erlang/otp/blob/master/erts/configure.in#L943-L957> and the error from using it in the build is:

Enhanced in the sense that it makes it possible to distinguish between returned value, raised exceptions and other errors. erpc also has better performance and scalability than the original rpc implementation. This by utilizing the newly introduced spawn_request() BIF. Also the rpc module benefits from these improvements by utilizing erpc when possible.
