I wanted something that does not have a predefined structure. Just a simple tool that is easily understandable, that creates the environment and the config files. Then leaves me to do anything I wish. 

I wanted to add or stop as many nodes as I want during the test. I needed integration with erlydtl for config files (because we often use yaml or json files). I wanted something that is easily used with damocles to test network issues.
