[erlang-questions] Unknown message in httpc_manager:handle_info

We are sometimes getting this error report with httpc:

Unknown message in httpc_manager:handle_info {#Ref<0.0.0.709>,ok}

I haven't been able to figure out why it happens or who sends the erroneous
message. Has anyone seen this before or know what may be causing it?
