[erlang-questions] Possibly memory leak in R17

Hello Max,

Just wanted to let you know that I think that we have found the
bug/behaviour that was creating the memory fragmentation and performance
issues for you. You can read about the problem here:

A fix is merged into the maint branch on github and will be included in
17.4.
