[erlang-questions] Why EEP-0018 "JSON bifs" (and conforming libraries) are "wrong" about object encoding (i.e. `[{}]`)

If there was a mochijson3 it would surely use maps rather than {struct,
proplist()}. Perhaps EEP18 should be amended for Erlang 17?
For some historical context: the mochijson format is the same as the yaws
JSON format. mochijson2 switched the representation for text from strings
to binary and which allowed me to drop the type tag for array. The {struct,
proplist()} representation was simply inherited and I never thought much
about changing it because it worked well enough.
