[erlang-questions] On Pull Requests Comments
Mon Oct 21 13:14:13 CEST 2013
Pull requests have the advantage that almost all Erlang projects already
use them. Instead of having to lookup how to submit patches all the time
one can now just use the workflow they are used to with other projects.
They also are useful for very small patches, like fixing typos, because
those can be fixed directly using the Github UI, which is a lot more
convenient and actually makes these contributions doable, as few people
would go all the way to send them otherwise unless they were already
setup for contributing.
You do bring up good points, but it's not all black and white. Both
solutions have their own merits. I'm sure there's more than the above too.
