I disagree, otherwise developers need to continue writing the 'S' module
and compiling them to have access to the feature.

You may disagree with Elixir use-case, which could compile to core,
but that is not an answer and does not invalidate the other cases.

Anyway, whatever the OTP Team agrees with I will happily tag along.
