[erlang-questions] Difference btw Erlang ODBC and emysql driver for accessing MySQL

Hello,

The number one reason, as it was already mentioned, is speed.
I suggest you first have a look at 
http://erlang.org/pipermail/erlang-questions/2008-September/038010.html.
I've recently benchmarked speed for MySQL and PostgreSQL using both ODBC 
and native drivers and
the ODBC tests were an order of magnitude slower.
