Yes, some new nice backup features (incremental backup, selective backup
and local backup) was introduced in september 1999 for OTP R5B. I was
quite surprised when you pointed out that they not were documented. Perhaps
it is time to document them, but I think that we ought to add more test cases
for these features before doing that. As they have been undocumented for almost
exactly a decade I suspect that very few (if any) users have been using them.
