Nope. It is probably an oversight or overprotection
from the original author of Jinterface. Non-proper
lists were not allowed either but will be in R13.
Jinterface is supposed to handle whatever Erlang can.

Thank you for pointing this out. If anyone finds
other discrepances please let us know.
