a good day, that. thanks for posting this, and many thanks to all who have
been involved in making erlang what it is today.
i'm curious, though. this was long enough ago that open source was not
so common
as today, and this was likely something of a leap of faith for
Ericsson's management.
does anyone here have any insight into how they have felt about this
decision in
retrospect? Did it achieve the stated goals for them as a company? it
has clearly
been a great thing for the software community, was it also great for
Ericsson?
