strange packet loss

I thought it was a Mac or Snow Leopard, ie. OS issue but it doesn't  
seem to be the case.

Tracing the client beam gives me the following...

70891/0xfcdc46:    818902       8      3 recvfrom(0x3E7, 0x1006AD568,  
0x404D)	 = 5 0

               libSystem.B.dylib`recvfrom+0xa
               beam`tcp_inet_drv_input+0x267
               beam`erts_port_task_execute+0x48b

"= 5 0" above is the 2-byte length and the ACK itself which means that  
Erlang is indeed receiving my packet. I still don't know why it's not  
delivering it. The mystery deepens.
