[erlang-questions] .emacs file, where?

what do you mean with:
the path "~/.emacs" ?c:/Users/saftarn/AppData/Roaming/ ?
thats what i get when i ask where $home is.
so should i have a file c:/Users/saftarn/AppData/Roaming/.emacs
exactly like that?
in Roaming I have a folder ".emacs.d", it shouldnt be placed in there?

Hit C-x - C-f and then enter the path "~/.emacs" then you're in
the
right location (C-x C-s to save). The file doesn't exist in a fresh
Emacs install, it has to be created in your Home-Directory.
