[erlang-questions] yaws user running beam process on Ubuntu

I was looking around my Ubuntu Feisty install today and found this at 
the top of my "top". 

PID   USER PR NI  VIRT   RES  SHR S %CPU %MEM    TIME+  COMMAND
1681  yaws 18  0 16120  5116 1668 S  7.3  0.5   0:00.22 beam

With "yaws" and "beam" in the line my thoughts turned to Erlang.  Does 
anyone know what it is?  I have only installed basic Erlang and Distel 
for emacs to my knowledge.
