Looking through cean.erl, I don't see anything that handles live or
distributed updates.  I can imagine a higher layer that stops,
upgrades, and restarts nodes one at a time across a network.  Is there
a better solution with CEAN?

I'll add to my original question: Has anyone successfully deployed a
real-world system (multiple applications; multiple nodes) using CEAN
for release management?
