It's not the norm afaik (I know it is the 'correct' way - there was an
earlier thread). I'm subscribed to around a dozen lists, and every one
of them does munging. Google/Yahoo groups does it by default. It's
interesting to wonder why. [Perhaps because replying to the list is
the norm, replying to a person is the exception?]
