No, you probably want to stay somewhere in the city centre. Precisely
where doesn't matter too much since you can get around quite well on
foot. Most of what you'll want to see is within a radius of no more
than 1-1.5 miles from the Old Town (Gamla Stan). The conference venue,
on the other hand, is about 4 miles out from the city centre, as
the crow flies. It only takes 5-10 minutes to get there on a local
train, or you could take a taxi if you like parting with your money.
