[erlang-questions] compiler suite for C node on MS Windows

I'm wanting to write (and then compile) a C node on MS Windows.  I
have the downloaded Windows Erlang, and would like to know which
compiler suite I should expect to use (mingw, cygwin, or MS Visual
C++).  A similar C node will be compiled also on MacOS and BSD, but
the content will of course need to differ slightly.
