[erlang-questions] Simple chat server in Erlang

Good day all,

I'm fairly new to Erlang, and am writing a MUD server to teach myself 
the language.  So far, I have gotten as far as a simple chat server 
thing which I decided to write up as a tutorial since I couldn't find 
one pitched at an appropriate level.

I would appreciate any comments on my code and/or style.  Erlang's the 
first functional language I've done more than "hello world" in and I'd 
hate to find myself writing Java in it...
